This past week has been crazy hectic in an unbelievable kind of way. AND to top everything off we have all been sick with various forms of seasonal icky-ness! BUT, despite it all we still managed to get packed and loaded while leaping over all the hurdles that popped up in our path.
What feels amazing actually is choosing to walk away from this life, from this house, and all the suppression it has lent us for all of the wonderful self learning opportunities we have gained from them. Now that I can clearly see how we managed to escape it…and actually survive through it… I think I will be sharing, or trying to share a bit more in detail of all the crap we have dealt with that helped us clearly see enough was enough. American “dream” or not….it wasn’t for us. Seriously, we’ve learned a lot about ourselves, our family, what we do and don’t want to surround ourselves with over the past seven years. Above all, we found the courage to make a difference…to make a change…and take a chance, on life and it’s endless wealth of opportunities.
Right now, we are getting on our way, adventuring along up north…to a fresh new start…to embark on the life we DO want to have for us and for our children. And that feels so damn good!
I will be back here in this space with so much wonderfulness and new exciting adventures very soon, but for now, while we are getting adjusted and re settled onto our new little homestead, I leave you with this quote:
“There are two primary choices in life; to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.”
~Denis Waitley

Because after all…I believe with ALL my heart, that each and every one of us deserve the life we want to live.

Best wishes on your new adventure!
We left the big city and moved to the middle of nowhere a few states away last year to have our own homestead.
It’s hard.
Really hard some days.
But in the end, it is right and it is good and it is just where we should be.
How inspiring! I wish you and your family well. Kudos to you for following your heart!
SO awesome! So glad you are moving on to better!
Much peace, happiness & good fortune in your new journey!

i discovered your blog fairly recently, and really enjoy your beautiful posts. i had to comment here and wish you well. it sounds as though our families have recently made similar leaps… we just left our suburban home last month and we’re never looking back! country living is so beautiful in so many ways… and with that i’m off to help build compost bins and garden beds!
Hey Lisa,
Good luck with everything! so exciting that you guys are starting a fresh, new life, away from all that craziness and stress. I look forward to hearing all about the homestead and garden and kids, etc. Best Wishes to you and your family!

I’ve been thinking of you all week! I feel sad that you’re leaving, but so happy for you guys and your new start. And I love hearing the excitement in your “voice”! Enjoy settling in to your new surroundings, and I’ll be looking forward to updates. <3
You are a super-mama for keeping up with your blog during all of this – and being in the first trimester no less! I’m so excited for you guys, but also sad that you won’t be as close as you’ve been. Who knows, maybe our paths will cross again some day.
P.S. Emma wants to know if Kayla got her card before you left.
I wish you all the best! You deserve it!
Beautiful post!! I wish all of you all the happiness you deserve!! Your great people, and SEPA will miss you all!
