This week at the farm stand we did really well and sold a lot of our own stuff. We offered our own organic spinach, lettuce mix, lacinato kale, and chard, as well as organic tomato, strawberry, and pepper plants. Everything we grow and sell of our own will be only organic. However, we also keep stocked each week with some additional local produce and pastured meat from our local farm. So we also had some locally grown greenhouse tomatoes, cucumbers, and strawberries; organic head lettuce, organic radishes; broccoli, and cherries.
I enjoyed sitting at the farm stand knitting for a bit while Lake played in his hide out…under the table. Meeting new people from near and far, who live here, or are visiting is always nice too. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Mmmm…the veggies look great! Quite a bit of produce is starting to ripen in our own garden and I’m so excited. Love the little feet sticking out from under the table!
I wish I lived closer so I could visit your farm stand–the veggies look unbelievable! XOXO
Wow, your farm stand looks so lovely…wishing I could visit
Thanks so much for sharing pictures of the farm stand! So fun to see!
I might try to do it every weekend. It’s just another way to help me keep track!
Your stand is beautiful. Glad you did well.
What hours do you keep your farm stand open?
Do you man it the whole time?
I’m just interested as we would like to do something similar …

We are open from 10 to 6, because those are the hours that someone is most likely outside working in the gardens, on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays (during the week too once we start really pumping out veggies from our gardens though). Since the stand is literally out in front of the gardens/house, we do not need to sit out at the stand all day long. When someone drives up, one of us will run out to greet, meet, and take care of things. Even the kids help with that part. I think people really like seeing us working out in the gardens though when they stop by. It’s just nice to see that there are real people behind the food they are purchasing (although that might just be me;)
