So much has changed over the past two weeks. I just realized I wasn’t here to do a farm share post last week. I love capturing the evolution of what is growing each week…because it all grows so quickly. Just look at the overhead view of the big garden from two weeks ago and compare it to the one I took this morning at the end of this post. SO much growth happening!
lots of green heirloom tomatoes…waiting of course, to turn red
sun golds, amongst three other varieties of cherry tomatoes
our little pumpkin patch…jack-o-lanterns and jack-be-littles
being watched and cared for ever so carefully
chickens following…these two are my favorite girls for that reason
With all that green just on the edge of bursting forth with a wide variety of colors, we patiently wait, knowing that with each change no matter how big or how small, we are offered an opportunity for growth. We can learn so much from the garden can’t we?

So gorgeous, I just love that overhead shot. And your Plymouths too.
Hi Lisa, I have been following you for sometime, but this is my first comment. Well done for the name change I love it and think you handled a tricky situation really really well
..We are a gluten free family too. We homeschool our 3 in the UK, anyway hope you are refreshed after seeing you family Sue x
Thanks so much Sue! For visiting and commenting and your words of support. I love how we stumble across like minded ness in these online spaces!
Lisa I am so excited for you, and you’re such a good photographer as well–what lush, inviting and beautiful photos! What’s the name of the precious kitty?
She was a surprise kitty. We came home one day to find her just born on our couch. My kids insisted that our one cat was going to have kittens before hand. I didn’t think so, given she was an indoor cat (who got out for a few minutes). Well, they were right…our cat had a litter of one, so we kept her…and named her Hazel. Both cats are now officially spayed! So no more kittens for us.
Beautiful garden. I love the hens. If I ever move again, I want some of them. Think I’ll paint a ceramic one for now. We’re not allowed to have them here in Mount Carmel, PA. Keep harvesting and planting…
It drives me crazy that places don’t allow chicken keeping. We fought our township over that matter a few years ago at our old house. It just seems so silly in comparison to more important issues. But a painted chicken for now sounds really nice. Chicken art of all kinds is the best!
Such a healthy and inviting veggie patch. I love the smiling kittie.
Your garden looks so beautiful. I enjoy seeing the changes.
Wow, everything is thriving and looks so lush. I think the best part of gardening this time of year is that each morning there is something that has changed – a tomato has changed shades of red, a new squash or cucumber appears, an eggplant blossom peaks out…all so exciting!
Hi Lisa! I have been thinking of you so much too!! I remember also when we last talked, and I said how are you, and you said “TIRED”. Oh gosh, I am so tired too!!!
I LOVE! seeing these pics of your garden and little homestead. And your new name there, very just right for your family.
Yes, we need to talk soon, one of us will run out of time before the other (You!)
I will try calling some time next week or so…
Happy weekend and happy days to you. Rest!!! XOXO
