growing gratitude

.:Beauty and simplicity surround us all the time and are things that I try to embrace as often as I can slow down to see. Every Monday I will be posting…a “growing gratitude” post. Basking in our own state of gratitude as well as the gratitude of others always seems uplifting to me. Plus, I always love a good positive start to the beginning of each week. I will put a Mr. Linky at the end of each week’s post in hopes that some of you may want to join in this mindfulness journey with me. You can formulate your own posts however you want to…lots of pictures, or none; lots of thoughts, or maybe just one profound one. The main gist is to share whatever you are feeling grateful for in your life…right now; here and now; in the present. I’ve included a button as well, so if you’re interested, you can grab a button and link back to each week’s post. So let’s begin, shall we?:.

Right now, I AM…

…enjoying all of the deer that graze in the fields surrounding our land each evening, even if it means they break through our fence once a week.

…savoring fresh summer salads and their many variations almost every day…at least once…sometimes twice.

…loving little boys in their big sisters old leotards adorned with red capes.

…noticing how quickly my bathroom sinks get dirty with so many dirt caked hands getting washed there and all.

…appreciating the small bits of quiet I can find and the lulls that lie between the bouts of chaos.

…admiring the patience and natural drive my children have to carry out a full day of self propelled crafting activities while I am away doing the grocery shopping.

…wondering what this week will bring.

…anticipating the (very near) end of my 34th trip ’round the sun. How can that be?

…super grateful for the connections I have made through this space over time. Jeff and Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots made this sign for us and I just can’t stop gawking over it! It’s gorgeous!

…knowing that no matter where we are in the world, no matter what path we have chosen to walk, we are all connected by this amazing web of life.
