growing gratitude

.:Beauty and simplicity surround us all the time and are things that I try to embrace as often as I can slow down to see. Every Monday I will post…a “growing gratitude” post. Basking in our own state of gratitude as well as the gratitude of others always seems uplifting to me. Plus, I always love a good positive start to the beginning of each week. I will put a Mr. Linky at the end of each week’s post in hopes that some of you may want to join in this mindfulness journey with me. You can formulate your own posts however you want to…lots of pictures, or none; lots of thoughts, or maybe just one profound one. The main gist is to share whatever you are feeling grateful for in your life…right now; here and now; in the present. I’ve included a button as well, so if you’re interested, you can grab a button and link back to each week’s post. So let’s begin, shall we?:.

Right now, I am…

…thankful for the good food we are growing.

…enjoying the loud crashes of thunder that have been rumbling through the mountains at night lately.

…gearing up for another year of home school planning and preparation.

…feeling like hibernating.

…amazed at how I have managed to keep all three older kids involved in summer programs this summer!

…happy to see how much fun said kids have been having this summer getting to be out and about without Mom and Dad.

…thinking that the current littlest of the house is not so thrilled to be left all by his lonesome without his big brother and sisters to play with.

…excited to see the tomatoes starting to turn red, if ever so slightly.

…enjoying some pieces of small town America and just laughing at other parts.

…hoping that I can get some help organizing a bit today and leaving some chores for another time.

I’m a day late but I thought I’d join in anyway. I wish we had some lovely crunchy carrots like yours, but we will have to wait till next year.

Lovely gratitudes and what a great idea. A positive spin to a Monday sounds like a great idea.
I’m grateful for the small things in my life, like watching my garden become dormitory through winter, the relationships I have with the special ones in my life, and for changing my life to become more simplistic and satisfying.

I have started in on the homeschool planning as well.
    Love all of your gratitudes.

All good things! I’m looking forward to the homeschooling year too. It’s always so exciting for me….I feel like the change of seasons is starting to happen. It usually works that way. I mean we’re still full on into summer. I need to just relax!

I’m loving our summer garden and I’m so interested to hear how you homeschool! My SIL is just starting and as a teacher, I’m really interested in all forms of education. I hope, if you’re inspired, you blog more about it!
