.:Beauty and simplicity surround us all the time and are things that I try to embrace as often as I can slow down to see. Every Monday I will post…a “growing gratitude” post. Basking in our own state of gratitude as well as the gratitude of others always seems uplifting to me. Plus, I always love a good positive start to the beginning of each week. I will put a Mr. Linky at the end of each week’s post in hopes that some of you may want to join in this mindfulness journey with me. You can formulate your own posts however you want to…lots of pictures, or none; lots of thoughts, or maybe just one profound one. The main gist is to share whatever you are feeling grateful for in your life…right now; here and now; in the present. I’ve included a button as well, so if you’re interested, you can grab a button and link back to each week’s post. So let’s begin, shall we?:.
…appreciating the learning opportunities that are presenting themselves.
…eager for new beginnings and seeds to sprout.
…witnessing the strong child animal connection farm life provides.
…grateful for where we are. SO grateful.
…watching as the sea of healthy and abundant squash plants grow and expand.
…harvesting our very first zucchinis and summer squashes.
…smiling at the bunches of freshly harvested by Jason bulbs of garlic all around the front porch.
…smelling all that good fresh garlic smell as well…no vampires will be joining us here.
…admiring my two lady friends who follow me all over the place.
…enjoying the mere minutes that go from harvest to dinner plate, knowing how fresh fresh can be.
…SO excited about the arrival of our first egg! We officially have one laying hen!
…waiting patiently for a stretch of days without rain.

I love “knowing how fresh fresh can be.” Yes!!
Love seeing all the good food you’re growing. We are excited to be getting zucchini now! And we’re missing having chickens a lot! Happy for you about your first egg- how wonderful and such nourishing food eggs are for pregnant mamas too.
Love to you!
Taryn
So strange to hear that your summer squash is just coming in when we’ve been up to our ears in it for nearly a month already!
I love your chickens too
Ours are just standard ex battery hens that we rescued ! Hope you are feeling good at the moment, and enjoying those eggs.. They are delicious and so yellow I always find Sue x
I feel like I can get a breath of fresh air – no given on hot days in Charlotte, when the air-quality can get a bit dangerous – just looking at your pictures.
I’m grateful today for three girls who want me to include them in my early-morning run.
Yay for your first egg, how exciting. We are patiently waiting for ours
Your chickens are so beautiful! We are working on getting our chicken space finished, and I can’t wait to have a few clucky ladies to follow me around.
And your vampire comment cracked me up lol
It is full of joy that I rise today to your “Growing gratitude”. Earthmama thank you to you and yours, you who are an inspiration to me everyday.
How exciting to have your first egg Lisa!
