.:Beauty and simplicity surround us all the time and are things that I try to embrace as often as I can slow down to see. Every Monday I will be posting…a “growing gratitude” post. Basking in our own state of gratitude as well as the gratitude of others always seems uplifting to me. Plus, I always love a good positive start to the beginning of each week. I will put a Mr. Linky at the end of each week’s post in hopes that some of you may want to join in this mindfulness journey with me. You can formulate your own posts however you want to…lots of pictures, or none; lots of thoughts, or maybe just one profound one. The main gist is to share whatever you are feeling grateful for in your life…right now; here and now; in the present. I’ve included a button as well, so if you’re interested, you can grab a button and link back to each week’s post. So let’s begin, shall we?:.
…appreciating the gift of words; reading them, hearing them, speaking and writing with them…being inspired by them.
…loving the kids’ bird house gourds that are bountifully covering their “garden mound”.
…trying not to laugh every time I look at Indigo, who had to get shaved due to a bit of rolling in burrs with her long fluffy fur.
…sitting, nursing, bouncing, swaying; enjoying the newborn bliss.
…finding the space to let go of all the things I cannot get to right now, knowing there will be another time and another place to fit it all in some other day.
…awarding Lake with the champion egg hunter award.
…spotting newly harvested winter squash.
…thinking of winter squash storage and how much we realistically should be planning to store and how and those kind of logistics.
…figuring someone is planning on a few batches of hot stuff.
…agreeing it is time to put yet another bit of something into some jars.
…peeking at these beautiful round orange pumpkins.
…excited to see who has the energy and drive to carve the most jack-o-lanterns (knowing it won’t be me;).
…feeling fall getting just a little bit nearer each evening as I hurry to shut the windows.
…appreciating just how big of a help big sisters can be. With the bouncing and pacing and holding so that I can buy a minute or two of time every once in awhile.

Love that last picture – so much beauty and love!
Love the last picture, beautiful!
So good Lisa. I would love to join in this with you some time. My gratitude list is long, friends and peaches come to mind first at this moment.
We did not close the windows last night, and it sure was cold in the house this morning!
We had about 4 dozen winter squash to get us through last winter, they were one of the easiest things to store cause they didn’t need to be kept as cold as everything else.
Little baby!
Love to you and family! XOXO
Oh, I love that last picture!!!

Grateful that after nearly 40 years, I can finally do a forward flip on the trampoline. Just did 3 this morning with my kids. I don’t know who was more excited, them or me!
Beautiful post, Lisa! Another thing I am grateful for. Miss you!
Btw, how did Bella get so grown up?! I also live that Sorrel has his own unique look. He’s a beauty!
Just beautiful!
