…feeling the fall chill in the air.
…wondering why there is a dozen eggs sitting on my bedroom floor.
…loving little pumpkins everywhere.

…redecorating my house with seasonal pieces of goodness.
…needing to make sauerkraut asap!
…wondering how my littlest people must always be wherever I am trying to do something or get something done.
…envisioning more apple cobbler is on the near horizon.
…happy with all the food preservation I got done this year.
…wishing it was more.
…knowing I did the most I could and that there will always be next year.
…planning out our fall farm happenings.
…thinking peaceful harmonious thoughts for the rest of today.

Look at all that food tucked away, the jars look so beautiful! I feel like I am constantly making applesauce these days, but love looking at my jars of maple syrup, salsas, pickled garlic, tomato sauce etc,. I peek in the cupboard all the time! Lovely pictures, enjoy your fall!

Oh my gosh!! It very well may be! Too funny. I know it was a hand me down from someone somehow. We miss you guys soooooooooooooo much! We made enchiladas with salsa verde (which will always make me think of you).

Lake is a bit obsessed with “not finding any eggs from the chickens”. He goes out and finds them and makes them “magically” appear behind his back…today he brought the whole carton in to put the eggs he found in. We now are at a point where most of the eggs are no longer getting broken in the gathering process.
