…for contrast and the ability to appreciate both sides.
…for siblings and the endless entertainment they provide each other.
…for little babies who never seem to stay little babies for long enough!
…for progress; mentally, conditionally, energetically.
…for that last big piece of homemade blueberry apple pie.
…for kids who make snow mazes for “Leo the lop” to hop through.
…for bunnies who are just as entertained by said mazes as the children who made them (this bunny LOVES snow!).
…for snowy winters, good sledding hills, and all the fun that brings along with it for the kids.
…for the sunshine and the intermittent pieces of beauty it casts along our path.
…for the chickens who are now brave enough to venture out into the deep snow.
…for the ability to work together.
…for early dinners and early bedtimes as a result of working together.
…for blue skies; beautiful blue blue skies.
…for breathing space.

lisa this just warmed my heart, but then your baby melted it.
thanks lori! he is a sweet sweet baby.
A lovely list of things to feel grateful for. That bunny is super cute!
This was the first time we let him hop around in the snow. I wasn’t sure about it, but he LOVED it! We brought him in the house to dry off before sticking him back in his hutch. Just one of those kid/animal playing games kinda thing.
tell me about your lop please! i have an 8 1/2yo that is dying for a rabbit (D-Y-I-N-G). do your kids care for it or do you? and does it live inside or out in a hutch?
Leo lives outside in a hutch: even in temps down to -5. He has a little box full of hay that he goes in. We unfreeze his water every day and fill it with warm water. We use his poop in the garden, since it doesn’t need to be composted at all to use. We feed him hay and feed, but a lot of veggie scraps too. Here’s two links, to the hutch we built and more bunny randomness! VERY easy to care for…easter is coming soon

There’s no picture of the box “house” we built in the links. It’s just a simple box with an opening my husband made out of wood to shelter him more from the elements that fits in the corner of the hutch.
