After many years of thinking and planning, dreaming and envisioning, wishing and hoping, our family is living our dream come true. We live on a little four acre homestead in the mountains of North Eastern Pennsylvania. We are grateful to be able to grow our own food, tend to our ever expanding garden spaces, and care for our animals. We currently have 15 free-range egg laying chickens, a rabbit, a dog, and three cats. Living as self sustainably as we can has become top priority for us.
Homesteading and self-sufficiency take a lot of work, a lot of patience, and allows for a lot of chances to let go of expectations of how we think things should be. Instead it allows us to see the perfection that lies within the imperfections of everyday life as we let everything unfold in its own way and in its own time. Each day we strive as a family to provide ourselves with all that we need without sacrificing the things that truly matter the most to us…family, connection, happiness, and love.
